Regulatory status

AML-supervised in Switzerland

Montezy GmbH is a Swiss limited liability company (GmbH), incorporated and registered in Zug, Switzerland. It is a member of the Self-Regulatory Organisation VQF (Verein zur Qualitätssicherung von Finanzdienstleistungen) and is supervised for compliance with the Swiss Anti-Money Laundering Act (AMLA) and the applicable SRO regulations governing financial intermediaries.

Montezy GmbH is classified as a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) within the meaning of Swiss AML legislation.

Regulatory status

Montezy GmbH is a member of the Self-Regulatory Organisation VQF (SRO Member No. 101303) and operates under supervision for compliance with the Swiss Anti-Money Laundering Act (AMLA).

AML and KYC

Identity (KYC) and business (KYB) verification, document and liveness checks, and PEP, sanctions and adverse media screening run on Sumsub. Every case is reviewed by our compliance team.

Safeguarding

Client funds are held with regulated Swiss and EEA banking partners, segregated from Montezy's own funds.

Crypto oversight

Wallet addresses and on-chain transactions linked to client flows are screened with ChainStream KYT for exposure to sanctioned addresses, darknet markets, mixers and scams.

Clear pricing, no hidden fees, and plain statements about what our regulatory status does and does not cover.

How we keep payments clean

End-customer verification

For business clients, every end customer is verified through Sumsub and gets a Customer ID before incoming payments are enabled.

Transaction monitoring

Payments are screened and monitored, and crypto-linked flows are checked with ChainStream KYT. Unusual activity is reviewed by our compliance team.

Payment tracing

Every payment has a full record. Our operations team traces missing or unmatched payments on request.

Two-step verification

Dashboard logins require a second factor from an authenticator app.

Roles and approvals

Owner, approver and viewer roles, with a second approver for large payments.

Personal and business checks

Individuals pass KYC and businesses pass KYB before any account is activated.

These documents let us confirm who we're working with, as Swiss AML rules require.

Business accounts

  • Commercial register extract, less than 6 months old
  • Articles of association
  • ID of authorised signatories
  • Beneficial owner declaration
  • Description of business model and payment flows
  • Licences or registrations, where applicable

Personal accounts and end customers

  • Passport, or ID card front and back
  • Personal details that match the document
  • Proof of address, less than 3 months old
  • Additional information for higher-risk profiles

A Customer ID is issued once verification is complete.
